Veenstra Family Dental began with a simple but powerful vision—to provide dental care that makes people feel safe, heard, and cared for. Dr. Doug Veenstra established the practice with those values at heart, and today, his son, Dr. Eric Veenstra, proudly continues that legacy.
Though Dr. Doug retired from treating patients in 2024, he remains an essential part of our practice’s success and spirit. Together with Dr. Eric, Dr. Noah Ruitenberg, and Dr. Rachel Hudspeth, our dental team is committed to combining modern techniques with a genuine, family-first approach to care.

Dr. Eric Veenstra, DMD
Co-Owner and Dentist
Dr. Eric Veenstra, a Wyckoff native, has been proudly serving the Midland Park community alongside his father since 2007. A graduate of Rutgers Dental School, Dr. Eric is committed to providing exceptional care and has completed advanced training in implant dentistry through prestigious programs at NYU, the Misch Institute, and Rutgers. Beyond dentistry, he enjoys family life with his wife and five children, coaching youth sports, volunteering on international dental missions, and staying active in his church. Known for building meaningful relationships, Dr. Eric treats every patient like a friend.
Dr. Noah Ruitenberg, DMD
Dentist
Dr. Noah Ruitenberg grew up in Ramsey, NJ, and is proud to care for patients in the community he calls home. After earning his dental degree from Rutgers and completing a residency at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, he joined Veenstra Family Dental to deliver compassionate, modern care. Outside the office, Dr. Noah enjoys life with his wife Kelly and their dog Oakley, and spends his time biking, skiing, golfing, and staying active in local youth sports programs. He’s dedicated to making patients feel at ease while helping them achieve lifelong oral health.
Dr. Rachel Hudspeth, DMD
Dentist
Dr. Rachel Hudspeth is a local Jersey girl who was raised in North Haledon. She attended the Academy of the Holy Angels in Demarest before heading to Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in biology with minors in chemistry and cognitive science. She then moved to Boston to pursue her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Tufts University, where she also served as a teaching assistant during her final year.
After dental school, Dr. Rachel returned to New Jersey to complete a two-year General Practice Residency at the New Jersey Veterans Affairs Health Care System in East Orange. During her second year, she served as Chief Resident, mentoring new dental graduates and helping them manage veterans with complex medical conditions.
Dr. Rachel especially enjoys working with children and has more than two years of experience practicing in a pediatric dental office. She is passionate about creating a positive, comfortable experience for patients of all ages.
Dr. Rachel is excited to care for patients in the community she calls home. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her niece, walking her dogs, traveling, and getting lost in a good book.
Dr. Doug Veenstra, DMD
Co-Owner and Retired Dentist
Dr. Doug Veenstra founded Veenstra Family Dental in 1981 after completing his dental degree and residency in New Jersey. With a deep-rooted commitment to caring for others, he has combined decades of clinical excellence with meaningful relationships built on trust and warmth. Now retired from active patient care, Dr. Doug continues to support the practice as a mentor and behind-the-scenes partner. He cherishes time with his growing family and has long been involved in church and medical missions across Central America.
